Build a trial that measures both sides

Record material preparation, the through-screen product and retained solids. Compare the product brief, seed or stone integrity and useful pulp in the reject alongside a measured mass balance.

1. Define the material and duty

  1. Define the prepared inlet
  2. Primary separation with its own product and reject samples
  3. Finish the first accepted stream with a second independently specified duty
Questions to resolve for this selection
  • Specify the purpose, feed and reject stream of each stage separately. Two stages do not establish universal fruit compatibility or hard-stone capability.
  • Confirm fruit in the sample brief.
  • Confirm preparation in the sample brief.
  • Confirm target in the sample brief.
  • Confirm removal in the sample brief.
  • Confirm downstream in the sample brief.
  • Compare product against the agreed quality brief, inspect rejected solids and close the mass balance together. A dry reject or high collected mass alone is not an acceptance decision.

2. Record one measured collection interval

Use kilograms throughout. Enter 0 for a measured zero, including no additions. Record material retained in the machine or spills separately; do not call all through-screen mass a qualified product.

3. Keep quality observations separate

Mass closure = (product + reject + other outputs) ÷ (prepared feed + additions). Measured feed rate = feed kg × 60 ÷ running minutes. Product/feed ratio is not an inferred fruit yield.

4. Take the record to the equipment discussion
