Fruitpulper.com / Application: tomato

Select a tomato pulper-refiner machine by break process, inlet condition and mass balance.

Tomato condition, break process, temperature and downstream product determine the load and quality target at the pulper-refiner. Published tomato capacities can show market scale, but they cannot be transferred to an unspecified Site17 configuration.

Approved factory-test run reference derivative showing a temporary output check; it is not formal FAT, acceptance proof or a yield claim.
01

Fix the thermal and preparation boundary

Record washing, sorting, crushing and whether the material reaches the pulper from a hot- or cold-break route. Temperature and hold history can alter viscosity and screen behaviour.

02

Separate peel and seed without vague quality claims

Define visible peel, seed and fibre tolerance for the intended product. Record screen sequence and sample both refined product and reject rather than relying on the phrase smooth puree.

03

Use a mass balance for the trial

Weigh prepared feed, accepted product and reject over a stable run. Note recirculation, flush water and retained material so the balance can be interpreted honestly.

Questions before a trial

Can tomato nameplate capacity predict mango capacity?

No. Material structure, preparation and duty differ. Capacity should be qualified by the stated feed.

Is the smallest screen always best?

No. A finer screen can change load, texture and reject loss. Select it against the product specification and stable operation.

What should a FAT record?

Feed lot, temperature, run time, settings, product and reject weights, sampling method and agreed quality observations.
