Fruitpulper.com / Hygienic operation
Define fruit pulper cleaning, inspection, drainage and safe changeover acceptance.
Food-contact material alone does not prove hygienic performance. The machine must be accessible or cleanable by its intended method, drainable, inspectable and documented for the products and soils in scope.

Separate open cleaning from CIP claims
A spray ring may help rinse a screen without making the complete machine CIP-cleanable. Identify which surfaces are closed, which require opening, and which parts must be removed for cleaning and inspection.
Access and drainage are measurable
Record tools, lifting needs, screen removal steps, trapped-product points and final drainage. Time the complete safe sequence from shutdown through inspection and reassembly.
Verification must match the risk
Define visual inspection, residue checks, microbiological or allergen verification as appropriate to the operation. A clean-water appearance alone does not validate cleaning.
| Area | Evidence | Acceptance question |
|---|---|---|
| Product zone | Contact-surface map and material documents | Can every wetted surface be cleaned and inspected? |
| Screen/rotor | Removal sequence, tools, handling and access | Is changeover repeatable without damage or unsafe lifting? |
| Drainage | Observed drain-down and retained-product check | Does product or cleaning liquid pool after the cycle? |
| Verification | Site-specific method, limits and records | How will the processor know the equipment is acceptably clean? |
Questions before a trial
Does stainless steel mean the machine is hygienic?
No. Material is one part of hygienic design. Geometry, joints, seals, drainage, installation, access and cleaning method also matter.
Is an internal spray ring the same as CIP?
Not by itself. Its coverage and cleaning result must be defined, and other surfaces may still require opening or manual cleaning.
What changeover time should be quoted?
Quote the complete safe sequence, including shutdown, opening, screen handling, cleaning, inspection, reassembly and restart checks.
