Read the product and reject together

Dry solids, a high product mass and an intact seed count describe different things. A useful separation trial records all of them against a defined material and method.

Approved factory-test run reference derivative showing a temporary output check; it is not formal FAT, acceptance proof or a yield claim.
01

Inspect retained hard bodies

For materials with seeds or stones, record intact and damaged pieces using an agreed sampling method. A visually smooth puree does not establish that unwanted fragments are absent.

02

Check useful product in the reject

Retain representative reject samples. Define the method for assessing residual pulp or soluble product before comparing settings; colour, dryness or hand feel alone are not a shared quantitative method.

03

Measure the through-screen fraction

Define the intended texture, defects and pulp-content method for the product. Screen aperture is an equipment feature, not a complete finished-product specification.

04

Close the same collection boundary

Weigh prepared feed, additions, collected product, rejects and other outputs over one interval. Note material remaining in the machine. A mass discrepancy is a question to investigate, not automatically recovered product.
